Angling
Waterville House has extensive fishing rights on the rivers and lakes in the surrounding townslands.
The Cummeragh River, with it’s five upper loughs, Derriana, Namona, Cloonaghlin, Na Huisce and Coppal flows into Lough Currane, (17 miles in circumference), before entering the sea. All these loughs contain Salmon and Sea Trout. Higher in the mountains there are numerous smaller loughs, rarely fished, containing mainly Brown Trout.
Liam Higgins catches the first salmon of the year at Butlers Pool 2015 8 pounds on the fly.
