Lovely\/scenic location. Three of us staying overnight and playing Waterville the next day. Staff were very accommodating. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent. We were the only guests that night, the next night would be a full house but it would not matter. The location is incredible, the service from Michael and Christine unequalled and the rooms are quite inviting. Our corner room overlooked the water. So nice. Bath rooms big and comfortable. The sheep across the bridge were a nice touch and wish I had time for the driving range and short game area. I would not stay anywhere else. Always a pleasure to arrive at this lovely spot on the water. This time I got the TILLINGHAST suite, w picture windows overlooking the garden\/sea. Clean as a whistle, great breakfast. Was able to get a better tee time at Waterville through their connection. Just wonderful. It was by far the nicest place we stayed. It is a beautiful old country house (mansion) and Michael and Christine welcome you as if you are family. It was like staying in their home. They serve only breakfast (a fantastically tasty one) so only those staying in the hotel come in. It\u2019s superbly quiet and private. There are beautiful sitting rooms well stocked with liquor and soft drinks. The views of the ocean are spectacular from every room. We will always remember the majesty of the waves and the peacefulness of the house. We stayed in other fancier golf resorts on our trip but only this hotel felt authentically Irish. The hotel wonderfully complements the course. The hotel has a driving range, a par 3 hole with a golf cart and a chipping area. It also has a stream for fishing and some picturesque sheep. Staff is very warm and welcoming. Very gracious. And Waterville House is the perfect complement to the Links. The rooms, named for famous golf course architects, are comfortable and spacious with nice bathrooms. Their is a very comfortable lounge\/tv room with a honor system bar overlooking a salmon stream &amp; Atlantic Ocean...perfect for golfers. The staff was very helpful arranging dinner reservations for us in town. It just doesn't get any better!!<\/strong>\nWe were 6 golfers who were fortunate enough to stay here for 2 nights and play at nearby Waterville links. Wonderful hosts, excellent reception and staff with very nice clean comfortable accomodation in a beautiful secluded B&amp;B resort. Christine the house manager went above and beyond she is top notch! The drying room for my wet clothing was a very nice touch... Steam room was a great way to relax after the game as was the fully stocked, wonderful upstairs lounge. The grounds were beautifully maintained and offered a good practise area and there were very good restaurants within a short drive. You could even fly fish right there if you were interested. The Irish breakfast was wholesome and delicious both mornings. What a great way to start your golf day. Would love to return some day. On the water with stunning views. One of the most legendary fly-fishing rivers in Ireland running right through the property. The best traditional Irish breakfast I\u2019ve ever had. A private driving range, short game practice area, and putting green on the property. Walking distance to town. An amazing lounge to enjoy a night cap. But, again, it comes down to the people.
